You have three years to complete the certificate, starting from the start date of your first class. If you would like to find out if previously-taken courses count towards the certificate requirements, please reach out to your Enrollment and Success Coordinator at tecbus austin. You may request your certificate upon completion of your final class and it will be emailed to you. All Leadership Academy courses are approved by various professional associations for continuing education hours—check the course listing for specific CEUs.

You work for a business or are an entrepreneur who wants to keep the Austin economy strong. You work as a nonprofit professional, member of government, or community volunteer. You know your community can benefit from your passion and are committed to learning more about yourself and your leadership style.

You have demonstrated your leadership in the community and are ready to expand your impact and develop relationships with other like-minded leaders. You are committed to an intensive and comprehensive exploration of your personal leadership skills. Your team or organization wishes to develop its leadership skills—or apply those leadership skills to fulfill its civic responsibility—through custom-designed workshops or collaborative partnerships.

Cities have ever-changing priorities that affect their sustainability and quality of life. You may be new to Austin or a long-time resident; both will gain an understanding of the inner workings of the city at an unprecedented level. This monthly series brings participants a balanced discussion about the issues of the day.
