Ned Overend was the lead rider for Team Schwinn during the 80's and this was the exact bike frame he rode during races. Anyway, the frame measures 19" c to c, the standover height is 30" and the wheelbase is 43" The strangest and coolest piece on the bike is a pair of Tommaselli Racer High-Performance Motorcycle-style left and right brake levers. The Tommaselli's have a great wide feel to them, and probably work better then anything else you could get They also have intact protective rubber cover on both levers.

The grips on the bike are also kind of motorcycle style, and they are in really good condition and comfortable. On the front end, it looks like the forks have been upgraded to Rock Shox Quadra model and the front brake is a top-pull Shimano Deore LX cantilever style.

It also comes with a Tange G Master headset. Both front and rear derailuers are Shimano Deore XT, and both work fine. There is a 6-speed cog on the back wheel, not sure who makes it, and the hub is a Yongling? The rear rim itself looks like Schwinn made it, but I cannot find any markings. The cranks are Shimano mm FC, and have a dark grey finish. Other then that it has Kyokuto Top-Run pedals and Avenir toe-clips and straps, and a Brooks sadde the rails on the saddle are pretty rusty I would consider this b.

The body paint job still looks amazing with very minimal wear, I see one small rust spot size of a pencil eraser on the neck were paint chipped off and other than a couple knick's in kick stand area the paint is awesome, one small scrape on chain guard.

All the Schwinn decals and lettering are perfect. The Chicago Schwinn sticker also perfect, all the chrome looks perfect, just needs shined up, I do believe and was told everything is original Thank you for looking. Not my speed of bike but a very nice classic Schwinn for someone. Minor wear all over scrapes. Scratches but overall a very nice ridable bike. I took it for a spin myself. Tires are ridable, but would probably upgrade to a new set and a complete regrease. Most notable problem is the dent on the rear fender.

I have no idea what the condition of the seat is underneath or the color. The handle bars and grips look great. The stickers on the guard are clear. There is some rust here and there. I have not cleaned this bike up at all as of yet. The tires are not the originals and I do not see any stamps on the rims.

It rides really nice.
